As of September 1, 2012, an applicant for a Texas real estate Sales Agent license must have completed a minimum of 180 hours, consisting of Principles of Real Estate, Law of Agency, Law of Contracts, Promulgated Contracts Forms, and Real Estate Finance to be eligible to take the Texas Real Estate Sales Agent Licensing Exam. Related course credit may no longer be used to meet education requirements for a sales agent’s license.

These are the two most popular options, and is the recommended option for ease of registration, in addition to the significant price savings:
Have you already completed some of the required courses? Do you prefer to register for the courses one at a time? You may also register for individual courses to gain the number of hours you need to be eligible to take the licensing exam.
There are now two different methods for completing your required education: Correspondence and 100% online. Following is a description of each program:
CORRESPONDENCE – students will receive a textbook (shipped promptly via UPS ground) and will complete required quizzes and final exams online. NOTE: Effective September 1, 2017, the Texas Real Estate Commission will require final exams for all qualifying courses to be proctored. This means that you will be required to complete the final exam online in the presence of your designated proctor. You may also choose to complete paper-based quizzes and final exams at our office in Canton, Tx by scheduling an appointment.
100% ONLINE – students will read all material online as well as complete required student exercises, quizzes, and final exams online.
