TREC rules allow a licensee to repeat a course as long as it has been at least two years since previous completion, or the course title being repeated has a different course number than what was previously completed.
Per TREC rules, a licensee IS NOT ALLOWED to complete a 30-hour course unless three (3) calendar days have passed since course registration
. You must allow a minimum of three (3) days PER COURSE
. Please keep this in mind when completing your exam(s). Failure to allow three days per course will result in TREC rejecting your course certificate(s).
This course includes topics in Texas contract law, basic real estate law, real estate contracts, ownership rights, contingencies, addenda and amendments, real estate finance, conveyance of title, real estate transaction process, and common contract mistakes. The textbook includes chapter learning objectives in addition to optional end of chapter quizzes to test the students comprehension of the material.
Students will receive a textbook for the course, which sets our real estate educational program apart. The textbook (written by TREC approved instructors) has proven to be an invaluable tool for continuing education students in preparation for the broker licensing exam, and will become an integral part of your professional reference library. Course materials are shipped via UPS Ground; therefore, to avoid shipping delays, please provide a physical address on your registration form (no PO boxes).

**New** TREC rules which which became effective 9/1/17 indicate that the final exam must be proctored. You may choose from one of the following course delivery methods. Please read each one carefully to ensure that you register for your preferred method.
COURSE DELIVERY METHODS:
( 1 ) PROCTORED ONLINE FORMAT: (Please note that this is a new format than what has previously been offered)
Students will complete the coursework online. Once all coursework is complete, you will then either:
(a) designate a proctor to administer the closed book final exam; or
(b) schedule a date/time to complete the final exam at our office in Canton, Tx.
( 2 ) C.E.L.I. OFFICE Students will schedule a date and time to come to our office in Canton, TX to complete the coursework and final exam.
A proctor is an approved person that administers an exam and agrees to fulfill the proctor responsibilities required by the Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC). The proctor will verify a student's identity and will ensure that academic integrity guidelines are followed during the exam. Per TREC rules, a proctor must be one of the following: (1) employee at an official testing or learning/tutoring center; (2) librarian at a school, university, or public library; (3) college/university administrator, faculty, or academic advisor; (4) clergy affiliated with a specific church, temple, synagogue, or mosque; (5) an educational officer of a military installation or correctional facility; or (6) notary public. You may also choose to complete your exam at our office in Canton, TX.
NOTE: Per TREC rules, a student is allowed 2 opportunities to pass the final exam. If a student fails the exam, they may retake the exam only once after waiting at least three days.
