7. Take Care of Yourself

Perhaps you were attracted to a career in real estate for the freedom to be your own boss. While this can be exhilarating, it can also be exhausting. With that in mind, it’s important to make time to take care of yourself. You cannot be successful if you are run down and worn out. Plan small getaways throughout your yearly calendar to give yourself a break from work. Even something as simple as an extended weekend can make a huge difference in your state of mind.

Prioritize an active lifestyle and maintain a healthy diet to ensure that you are providing your body with the fuel and energy it needs to function well. If you find yourself falling into the trap of believing that you can’t leave work or it will all fall apart, then you are well past the point of needing a break.
