TREC SAE Courses – Don’t Forget Your TREC License Renewal Requirements 

If you’re a newly licensed real estate agent in Texas, completing your TREC SAE (Sales Apprentice Education) courses is a must! TREC (Texas Real Estate Commission) requires all sales agents to complete a total of 98 hours within the first two years of licensure to renew your real estate license (active or inactive).

What is TREC SAE?

In the context of the Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC), “SAE” stands for “Sales Apprentice Education” and refers to the specific courses required for sales agents to renew their license the first time. TREC SAE Requirements:

Complete 90 hours of qualifying real estate course hours

Must include the 30-hour Real Estate Brokerage course

Complete TREC Legal Update I & II (8 hours total)

Complete the 6-hour Broker Responsibility course if you have been made a supervisor by your broker

Submit your renewal before your license expires
