Do You Need to Complete TREC’s Fitness Determination Form for Your Real Estate License?
🚨 TREC’s Fitness Determination Form Alert! 🚨
TREC requires that all education providers notify current/future students of their right to request a criminal history evaluation. Before registering for a course, please note that a criminal history may make you ineligible for a Texas Sales Agent, Broker, or Inspector license. You may request a criminal history evaluation prior to enrolling in a course or applying for a real estate license. You may request an evaluation by submitting a $52 non-refundable fee to TREC using their Online Services platform. After payment is complete, you will receive an email within five business days with a link to the Fitness Determination Form and instructions on how to submit the form for review.
🔑 What is it? The Fitness Determination Form is a document that TREC uses to evaluate any criminal history or past violations that could impact your licensing process. If you’re planning to get your Texas Real Estate Sales Agent, Broker, or Inspector license or renew it, it’s essential to complete the Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC) Fitness Determination Form. This form helps to assess your eligibility, ensuring you meet the qualifications to hold a license in Texas.
⚠️ Why is it important?
Failure to submit or provide the correct details could delay your licensing process or even disqualify you. Make sure you review the form thoroughly, be honest, and get all your information correct!
📝 How to complete it:
You can complete it out online through TREC’s website. Make sure you’ve got your personal history details ready! If you’re unsure about how to answer any questions, it’s always best to reach out to a TREC representative for clarification.
Stay ahead of the game! Completing this form quickly can save you time and potential headaches in the long run.
