How Do I Get My Real Estate License in Texas

Basic Requirements
You must be 18 years of age or older, a citizen of the United States, a Texas resident, and meet TREC’s qualifications for honesty, trustworthiness, and integrity to become a real estate agent. TREC is the Texas real estate commission, which governs real estate practices in the state. The second requirement is to register for and complete 180 hours of TREC-approved college-level real estate courses. Once you have filed your application, you will have one year to pass the real estate licensing exam. If you fail three times, you will be required to obtain additional education.
